Lesson 1: Excel Spreadsheets Database Functions (12)In annex 1 you have found a description of all 12 Excel functions in the "Database" category. When you are working with a set of data that Excel recognizes as a database including data imported from centralized databases or programs (accounting, marketing, sales, manufacturing) the Excel SUMPRODUCT function is the ultimate reporting tool, the Excel SUBTOTAL function is a great analysis tool and the Excel INDEX/MATCH formulas allow you to virtually create relational databases in Excel. There are no examples of formulas developed with functions of the "Database" category in the downloadable tutorial on Excel functions and formulas.
